Adobe CS4: Licensing has stopped working Error 150:30
I replaced a hard disk and did a Snow Leopard Time Machine restore to find that my CS4 applications wouldn't start. I found the solution here on Erik Hansen's blog, but it took me awhile to find it. I'm posting it again here in the hopes that others will be able to find it faster.
- Download Adobe's Licensing Repair Tool
- Run that, restart, run it again, etc. as the instructions state. This doesn't work for me, and looks like it's erroring out each time though it doesn't give a human readable error message.
- Delete /Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher
- Photoshop magically starts working again

Thanks a lot! Finding this helped me so much. I did the exact same thing and these are seemingly the only products of mine that had issues after recovery.
Thank you soooo much! My problem is finally resolved :)
Yeahj it works... made a recovery yesterday and found my CS4 suite no longer working...
THANKS :)
Thanks for this. I followed the lengthy troubleshooting process at Adobe and it said to delete the /Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher/Flexnet folder, but that didn't work. After reading your post I tried the containing folder and now everything is back to normal!
I wish these companies wouldn't use these troublesome DRM methods on their software
you saved my day!!!
thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this!
